  2009 Gem, Mineral, & Fossil Show


Dividing Line

Along with Sunset Fossils and Minerals, WVGES is a co-sponsor of the annual Cheat Lake Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Show. The show is held every fall at the WVGES facilities located on Cheat Lake outside of Morgantown, West Virginia. Local and regional vendors make available a variety of interesting and educational materials and geologic wonders. The next show is scheduled for September 26 and 27, 2009.

Displays, geode cutting, and exciting shopping opportunities. Fun for all ages. Free admission and parking. The WVU Student Chapter of the Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME) will be on hand with an informal display and free mineral samples. Children under 12 receive a free rock or fossil specimen when accompanied by an adult.
