Announcing NEW Interactive Maps!

WVGES is pleased to announce several new interactive mapping services (IMS) now available to the public.

1. West Virginia Oil and Gas—An IMS of over 145,000 wells including gas, oil, and combination.
   View and download (Excel format) well header data.
   Links available from the IMS to more extensive well data in our "Pipeline" and "Pipeline-Plus" applications.
   
   UPDATED! 7/9/2009 - New tax district layer added (in Base Layers folder).
   
   
2. 10 new coal bed IMS applications.
   • Monongahela Group: Uniontown
   • Conemaugh Group: Harlem
   • Kanawha Formation: Stockton Rider, Little Coalburg, No. 2 Gas LS 2, Eagle LS 1, Bens Creek
   • New River Formation: Sewell B, Sewell A, Welch
   • These are also accessible from http://www.wvgs.wvnet.edu/www/coal/cbmp/coalimsframe.html

In addition to the new IMS applications, we have updated the Coal Bed Mapping Project IMS pages so to

• Add the new coal maps
• Improve user navigation
• Update the design
• Implement other coal IMS applications that are already publicly available (e.g., All Coal Mining Methods, Pocahontas Formation-All Coals)

We are working on further developing these pages to streamline navigation and improve your viewing experience!

All of our interactive maps can be found via our IMS Portal.
