Biographical Sketch of Roy S. Sites


Dividing Line

Roy Sites earned his BS, MS, and PhD degrees from West Virginia University, with his specialty being structural geology. While an undergraduate student, he worked part-time for the West Virginia Geological and Economic Survey.

Roy was affiliated with the Virginia Division of Mineral Resources, where he worked as a senior geologist from 1998 until his death in 2008. During the two decades of his professional career, Roy did it all - from oil and gas, to managing, to mud-logging.
